This adapter will allow you to install an oil temperature gauge with an 1/8PT sensor using the stock oil drain plug location on most Subarus.

Before purchasing this adapter you will want to see if your oil pan has a metal plate right above the drain hole. Some cars have a plate which prevents magnetic drain plugs with longer magnets from working, so a temperature probe will not work in those pans either.
